Fresh Homemade Salsa
While I'm generally a cold weather girl, one of the things I do love about summer is that the rest of the world joins me in my chips and salsa addiction. At the pool, on the beach, at World Cup parties and on the water, it's hard to find a summertime gathering without at least one bowl of salsa floating around. And you will not hear a single complaint from me. I love me some salsa.
But you wanna know what's better than salsa? Fresh homemade salsa that leaves even the most sun burnt, salsa-ed out beach bum asking for your recipe. Here you go, loves. From my kitchen to yours.
- 12 small tomatoes
- 3 bell peppers
- 1/3 bunch cilantro, chopped
- 1 medium onion
- 2-4 jalapeños
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- A pinch, or two, of salt
- Juice from two limes
I prefer a pico de gallo style salsa, so I chopped everything. If you want more of a saucy product feel free to dice your ingredients or even stick everything in a food processor! The consistency is up to you, but as far as flavor, you cannot go wrong with these fresh ingredients.
Add salt and lime juice to taste, and enjoy!
